Hearts of Love Valentine projects
February 7, 2010
Here are some lovely Valentine gifts and projects for that special someone!
This CD frame came from an idea by Wendy Randall. Notice the legs are black clips from the office supply store, covered with DSP!

While at Leadership Conference (or was it at the Regional Seminar afterwards?), we were shown how to make a dial-up card. I made one using the Sweetheart set and matching Heart Treat Cups. What's cool about the dial is that you don't have to rip up the card to get to the candy! There's a punched heart opening in the dial that releases the M & M's! Click here for directions.
This lovely valentine is a Heart Explosion card. I originally saw a blog from Patty Bennett on how to make this pop-up variation, and it just lends itself so well to popping hearts! Check it out when it opens…
The hearts, which look suspended in air, are actually attached with strips of clear medium window sheet!

This cute little Heart box uses our Favor Box die for the Big Shot. As you can see, the black GROOM Specialty paper looks so classy with the red and white.

Finally, props go out to Amanda Coughlin, who designed this adorable birdhouse using the new Milk carton box die for the Big Shot. I added the little bird perching on the roof, using the new Extra Large 2-step Bird Punch.
Here's the back side of the birdhouse.
This box holds like 13 Kisses!
I punched out 2 birds in white and burnished the color, then attached one side to the library clip with Sticky Strip and then aligned and attached the second bird with Sticky Strip.
Happy
Valentine's
Day!
